Jeanne Hebeisen was more than a 50-year member of AAUW. She served twice as President and chaired the Art Showcase for many years. She was still chairing the AAUW Great Books discussion group at the library until her death.
Jeanne raised six children and earned an initial degree in math. Later she earned a second degree when she changed to a career in computer science. In AAUW circles, Jean was known as the ‘Energizer Bunny’ for her many volunteer activities alongside spoiling her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren — and two adopted grandchildren as well.
